Vancouver 2026 – Day 3 (May 17)

Day 3 roaming around Vancouver, I met again with friend Glenn Wichman on Granville Island Market, and then went on to meet Alexandre Mandryka and walk around the Kitsilano area.

Walked from dowtown into Granville island to met with Glenn. Nice waterfront!
Found a big store FULL of DRAGONS
Saying goodbye for now to friend Glenn sharing latte de olla in the island.
Met with game design legend Alexandre Mandryka, he showed me around Kitsilano and we had some great conversations on game design and life in Canada!
Kitsilano beach overlooking Stanley Park from Alexandre’s secret spot.
Walking into a historical building in Kitsilano “The oldest remaining grocery storefront in Vancouver. It features an old-style western ‘boomtown’ front, developed in the California Gold Rush of 1849 era, when frontier merchants wanted to make their modest stores appear more imposing.
It currently houses Arbutus Coffee, a cozy cafe perfect for a game design conversation (we sat outside tho… it was a very warm day!)
