Vancouver 2026 – UBC, Day 5 (May 19)

Took a bus from downtown to the University of British Columbia area, the goal was to visit Nitobe Memorial Garden, it was totally worth it.

The sprawling UBC campus was pretty cool, filled with art all around.
As you enter Nitobe Memorial Garden you are transported into Japan

I think I spent about two hours here – didn’t have a rush to go anywhere or meet anyone so allowed myself to just be there staring at the garden from different vintage points, even took a short nap.
The Asian Centre just outside of the garden featured more beautiful landscaping and a huge library. There were books free for grabs but something prevented me from taking them,
