Senatus: NOX LXXXII

Continuing with the final touches while we wait for Steam’s review, I set up some descriptions that were missing for some locations, and sent them for translation. I also implemented some improvements in the HUD for the mentor in the Rome scene.

Another one that had been long overdue was implementing the scene transition animation; it was fun and mostly straightforward, but spend a lot of time trying to fix a small color difference when it appeared in the battle scene, turned out to be caused by a different render mode set up on that scene (Screen Space – Camera), which I believe I had to do in order to implement some of the animations there, but that one was picking up a global volume with tonemapping and vignette activated?

In any case I disabled all that post-processing so the debate scene should look sharper overall.

I also added a first version of the credits popup, requested the team to confirm if I’m missing someone or someone wanted to use a different name.

Right now, just waiting for two new art pieces to integrate:

  • Banners for the rank acquired event.
  • New “final boss” portrait

Senatus Studio 0.2.0

Went back into Senatus Studio to check on the pending things, only to find there was some unstaged WIP needed being cleared out. It was the fixes from early July I never integrated until now.

Next up was integrating the fully translated event packs, and a UX improvement that was dangling there so that only the text for the selected language were shown to avoid clutter in the AI.
