Added two games by Mr. Doth, an indie dev from Medellín of which I had heard a bit about. They’ve got two games which look pretty cool! These are the kind of indie developer we need to have more of in the city.

I also added Emerald Woods; since I believe it fits the bill to being a highly advanced “demo”. I’ve got a lot of my own stuff I guess I could add, but I think that would be spamming the site too much… the idea is to have more developers in.
Via a friend, I also learned about Dark Swords Firelink, which looks like a great fit too – I’m investigating its connection with Medellín.
In other news the premise behind the collective and the website continues to evolve; now I’m thinking that, instead of focusing on the idea that “world class” indie games are being done in Medellin (so that local gamers would be inclined to support them), it will instead serve as a tool to raise awareness of the work that is being done here, so that developers can band together and support each other, and be inspired at the other one’s success and learn from their errors.
This doesn’t mean the mission of increasing the presence of our games in events is abandoned, it’s just that the tone of what the website is changes so that it serves more as a hub of knowledge of the games and the people doing them.
Doing the research to find these games is proving that such repository of info is needed, and also that with the low volume of completed works, an additional facet, those of rising indie developers without a finished product yet, should also have a place on it. Next up I’ll experiment with that, a directory of developers on the rise. (will my JSON-file backed rendering work, or will I need a real backend? I’ll only do it when the volume demands it).
