“I too tought on making a heightmap for each world, as it can be seen in the first version of my game; I planned to have the world composed of features and height, and have a method that “compiled” all the features and heights into easy to handle mapcells, I however have left this for the now much simpler approach, of the MapCell grid ”

Man… I wonder how many more things that I planned for the game and have been forgotten already :p
