November was quite busy with talks; after the one given to Universidad Santo Tomás on November 1, I was invited to four more places to talk about indiedev, game development, and stuff.
November 9, I participated as a talk mentor for the “Crea Tu Propia Historia” jam with a talk about cultural heritage in videogames: “Herencia Cultural en Videojuegos: Algunos Retos y Oportunidades”. For this one I discussed What is Cultural Heritage, how it can bolster the narrative of your game and the challenges when trying to adapt it, following some of my recent games as examples of attempting to integrate its elements in fun experiences. (Spanish)
I was invited by Holcim ABS on November 22 to their event, “Innovation Week”, to talk about my journey in videogames development. For this talk I tried to extract components that could be useful for a services company to improve their processes, and how videogames (not gamification) could be used in the context of businesses to train and motivate.

Since it was a private event, it wasn’t streamed publicly, however the recording might be available soon.
Finally, to close November on the 30th, I visited Colombia 4.0, the biggest tech conference in Colombia, to talk alongside Mauricio Betancourt from Indie Level Studios about indie games. We shared our indiedev journeys, what is an indiegame, why make them, how to fund them and develop them, as well as study cases for Logicubes and NovaMundi. (Spanish as well)
Also as part of Colombia 4.0, I was interviewed by Sebastián Cardona Sierra for “Congreso y Sociedad”, Canal Congreso, to follow up the development of our games since the last time we talked, and discuss the role of artificial intelligence in videogames development, and ideas for kids and young people to get involved into the game industry. It will be broadcast on national TV sometime soon.
